A press report on Monday delivered bad news for Barcelona, with one of their players set to miss both the Champions League clash against Paris Saint-Germain and the Clasico against Real Madrid.

Reports on Sunday had suggested Frenkie de Jong was closing in on a return to group training. He was expected to begin work with the non-international players on 5 October before rejoining the wider squad on 8 October.

At 29, he still isn't fully fit and will miss the meetings with Paris Saint-Germain (20 October) and Real Madrid (25 October).
