Officially: Barcelona seal a new signing

Barcelona have completed the signing of Croatian goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic, the Catalan club confirmed on Thursday. He arrives from Turkey's Fenerbahce to strengthen the Blaugrana's options between the posts.

A statement on Barcelona's official website read: "An agreement has been reached between Barcelona and Fenerbahce for the transfer of the Croatian goalkeeper, who has signed a contract for four seasons until 30 June 2030."

Livakovic came through the youth ranks at Zadar and Zagreb before breaking into the first team at Zagreb for the 2012/13 campaign in the Croatian top flight. Four seasons there earned him a move to Dinamo Zagreb ahead of the 2016/17 season.

Seven seasons followed at Dinamo. He racked up 295 appearances, conceded 249 goals, kept 137 clean sheets and lifted seven league titles. Those displays sealed his switch to Fenerbahce in the summer of 2023.

Two seasons in Istanbul brought 74 appearances and 24 clean sheets. A loan move to Girona followed in the summer of 2025, though he did not play a single match.

The Croatian returned to Dinamo Zagreb on loan in the winter window and made an immediate impact. Across 15 matches he conceded just 10 goals, kept eight clean sheets and helped the club to another league title.

Croatia have leaned on Livakovic since 2017. He has featured in the last three World Cups (2018, 2022, 2026) and the last two European Championships (2021, 2024), collecting a silver medal in 2018 and bronze in 2022.
