Ferran Torres Ends Barcelona Chapter With Heartfelt Farewell

FC Barcelona’s summer of squad reshuffling reached another milestone as Ferran Torres brought his spell at the club to a close after completing a move to Paris Saint-Germain. Barcelona had announced the transfer, and Torres subsequently shared a personal farewell message for supporters.

The forward, who played for Barcelona from January 2022, posted his message on social media, according to Championat. He thanked Barcelona fans, described representing the club’s colours as a source of pride and said his four and a half years there had made him a better footballer and person.

Torres also said Barcelona had become his home and reflected on his commitment to helping the team return to the top. His farewell recognised the friends and other people he met both within and beyond the dressing room, while thanking those with whom he shared success at Barcelona and with the national team.

Torres made 207 appearances for Barcelona across all competitions during his stint, contributing 65 goals and 23 assists. His trophy haul in Blaugrana included three La Liga titles, three Spanish Super Cups and one Copa del Rey.

The move closes a chapter that began with Torres joining Barcelona in January 2022 and ended with his transfer to PSG.
