Lucca Brughmans is another who was wanted by Real Madrid but turned them down in favour of a move to Anfield.
Behind the scenes the likes of Julian Ward and to his credit Richard Hughes as well, have done a great job in establishing Liverpool as the place to be.
It's no longer a stepping stone but it's the place to be. Just take a look at Dominik Szoboszlai, who had attracted the attention of Real Madrid as well.
But the Hungarian agreed a new long-term deal with the Reds instead.
Another wonderkid rejects Real Madrid and Man City
We spoke about Brughmans rejecting Real Madrid but another wonderkid also turned down the Spanish giant's advances in favour of a move to Anfield.
Joshua Abe was one of the most sought after talents this summer after his contract with Liverpool expired.
Man City and Real Madrid were both interested in him, and some clubs were willing to offer £50k a week for the English sensation.
However, the Daily Mail claims Abe turned them all down in favour of signing for Liverpool and penning his first professional contract.
Why? Well, the Reds will be providing a clear pathway for him into the first-team. That's something the other big European clubs simply cannot offer.
