Dodô could give Barcelona a right-back profile they currently don't have

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Fiorentina is trying to reach a new agreement with the Brazilian player, but those talks have not come to fruition, and the two sides remain far apart.

Also, Juventus and AC Milan are interested in Dodô for the summer transfer window.

What will bring Dodô to the squad?

The former Coritiba FC fullback is known for his speed and agility, with this being his main attribute, and one that FC Barcelona could use. Eric Garcia isn’t fast, as he is a converted center-back, and Koundé, as I said before, will be one of the players to be sold in the upcoming transfer windows.

In addition, and something crucial for a defender, Dodô has good positioning on the field, meaning he knows where to position himself to avoid leaving unnecessary spaces on the flank.

Additionally, the 27-year-old frequently reaches the byline, with or without the ball, to deliver dangerous crosses into the box. He can also use his agility and dribbling skills to either play the ball back or cut inside to create a shooting opportunity.

On paper, he has the archetype playing style of Joao Cancelo; now, we have to see him in this shirt. However, one thing is clear: it’s the style Hansi Flick likes, and if he arrives as a free agent, it could get even better.
