Before the end of the transfer window: Barcelona awaits 100 million euros from three deals

A Catalan trio on the verge of departure

Barcelona have shown this summer that they will not hesitate to sell. The most prominent deal so far has been the departure of Ferran Torres, whose move to Paris Saint-Germain earned the club close to 50 million euros despite only one year remaining on his contract.

Torres's exit coincided with departures of other "La Masia" academy players, such as Jofre Torrents and Tommy Marques, alongside the significant loan of Araujo to Liverpool, with the English club covering his full salary.

The Catalan club keep searching for ways to improve their finances and fund the deals they need, amid continuing uncertainty over the position of an out-and-out striker and the possibility of signing a new defender, according to the Catalan newspaper "Sport" .

Barcelona currently have three cases that could bring their coffers around 100 million euros: Marc Casado, Alejandro Balde and Hector Fort.

All three were left out of the squad for the match against Elche as the club prepares for their departure before the summer transfer window closes on 1 September.

Casado

Marc Casado carries a value of around 40 million euros, an amount some clubs in Saudi Arabia are ready to pay. But the player prefers to continue in European football.

At 22, the midfielder has a promising future and a prominent name, and he has previously represented Spain under Luis de la Fuente. Barcelona believe his departure must come in exchange for a significant financial deal.

Balde

Alejandro Balde is the biggest surprise of the last few hours. It had seemed the full-back would start the season normally, then coach Hansi Flick said he wanted players committed 100%, in response to a question about the academy graduate, before leaving him out of the squad for the match against Elche.

At left-back, Flick relies on Joao Cancelo, or on the possibility of moving Gerard Martin back to his former position.

Balde has therefore become available on the transfer market, and his value is also estimated at around 40 million euros. Benfica offered just 20 million euros, while English clubs, including Aston Villa and Manchester United, follow the player's situation closely.

Hector Fort

The third case on Barcelona's table is Hector Fort, valued by the club at around 20 million euros.

Negotiations with Borussia Dortmund are making notable progress towards buying the player, while other clubs, such as Real Sociedad, have made contact to enquire about signing him. Dortmund remain the most advanced party in the deal.

Fort spent last season on loan at Elche, but injury halted his upward path.
