After the Real Madrid uproar: Mbappe stirs controversy with a sarcastic message

Kylian Mbappé stirred up controversy during the international break, placing himself under the spotlight of Real Madrid's fans amid growing questions about his recent behaviour. All eyes have turned to the French star and whether he has anything to say about the storm around him.

Mbappé picked up an injury with France against Turkey in the UEFA Nations League and returned to Madrid. He then left again to take a few days of rest, a decision that angered and drew criticism from a section of Los Blancos' supporters.

So far, the French forward has not answered that criticism. He did, though, respond to a report from Radio Marca, in which journalist Javier Tinto claimed the striker was furious with Real Madrid.

Tinto explained: "During the week of the derby, Mbappé asked the club to make an effort and run a campaign in favour of his winning the Ballon d'Or, because that is what matters to him. The club did not respond. Now I understand Mbappé's attitude on the pitch during that derby. He was angry."

The journalist added: "Then, apparently, he asked Zidane for the same thing. And of course, Zidane cannot do that, because Dembélé is also in the running on this matter, and so everything that happened was regrettable."

Mbappé did not hold back. He hit back through his Instagram account, commenting on the post that had reshared Radio Marca's remarks about him.

According to Mundo Deportivo on Monday, Mbappé fired off a sarcastic reply beneath Tinto's remarks: "Yes, well, yes, and I got angry with my great-aunt too," adding a string of laughing-face emojis.
