Adeyemi Seals Barcelona Win After Levante’s Late Fightback

Xavi Espart opened the scoring in the fifth minute, with a deflection helping his effort past the goalkeeper. Lamine Yamal then made it 2-0 in the 19th minute after Raphinha rounded Mathew Ryan and squared the ball for him. Barcelona took that two-goal lead into half-time.

The third goal arrived just after the break. Yamal won a penalty after being clipped in the area and converted from the spot to put Barcelona 0-3 ahead. Levante continued to press, however, and their persistence brought them back into the contest late on. Iván Romero scored in the 79th minute after a loose pass, and Roger Brugué made it 3-2 nine minutes later after Joan Garcia saved an initial effort.

ESPN’s report described how Adeyemi, introduced from the bench, ended the comeback in the 93rd minute. He collected the ball well outside the area, drove through the defence and finished calmly to secure Barcelona’s 4-2 victory.

Barcelona’s victory was built on an efficient opening and a third goal that appeared to put the match out of reach. Levante’s late response ensured that the closing stages were far less comfortable for the visitors, but Adeyemi’s finish gave the final scoreline its decisive margin.
