Draws have been a regular theme for Phil Parkinson's Wrexham this season
  • Over 3.5 goals has landed in four of Wrexham's league games

  • Both teams have scored in five of Oxford's last seven Championship away games

  • Recommended bet: Over 3.5 goals

The busy Championship schedule is into round 11 and, starting into these midweek fixtures, Wrexham were one of five remaining teams in the second tier still searching for a home win.

In fact, Phil Parkinson's side have managed just one three-point haul anywhere across their last six games.

Visitors Oxford closed to within a point of Wrexham with their weekend win over Derby, while the Red Dragons lost at Stoke.

Both sides will sense a chance to pull away from the relegation zone but they are both difficult to trust and sticking with goals looks the way to go.

Team News

The Red Dragons are still missing Jay Rodriguez, Andy Cannon, Harry Ashfield and Danny Ward while George Thomason sat out the loss at Stoke and remains a doubt.

Liberato Cacace and Nathan Broadhead returned from injury with cameos in that weekend loss and one or both could be pushing for a start now.

Ciaran Brown was back from a six-month absence for Oxford in their home success against Derby and will look to back that up.

Matt Philips (thigh) is still sidelined for the trip to north Wales.

The stats

Wrexham entered this round of games as one of five teams yet to win a Championship home game this term.

The Red Dragons have managed just one win in the last six in the league.

Both teams to score has obliged in five of Oxford's last seven Championship away games.

Wrexham's defeat at Stoke was the first Championship game in which they have failed to score.

Four of Wrexham's 10 league games have gone over 3.5 goals.

Only Sheffield Wednesday (11) have conceded more home goals than Wrexham's 10.

Prediction

Wrexham have not won a home league game in five attempts as the rise in grade continues to catch Parkinson's side out in the Championship.

Conceding an average of two goals per game at home is a major hindrance. Despite just seven goals being scored in Wrexham's last four games, they are still averaging 3.0 per league game.

Oxford have scored twice in defeat at Hull and netted three when winning at Bristol City already.

The hosts have managed just one league win six games since August and look shaky favourites at 19/20 with LiveScore Bet here.

A ding-dong Championship battle is preferred, with over 3.5 goals taken to come up for a fifth time in Wrexham's league season already.
