  • West Brom have not won a Championship match this year

  • Norwich have won three of their last four games in all competitions

  • Recommended bet: Both teams to score

West Brom find themselves sitting in 19th place in the Championship table, a mere four points clear of the relegation places.

Ryan Mason was sacked earlier this month after a dismal run of form, but new manager Eric Ramsay lost his first Championship match in charge as the Baggies went down 3-2 against Middlesbrough.

Norwich may still be in the drop zone, but they have improved since Belgian Philippe Clement took the helm back in November.

The Canaries have won five of their last eight matches in all competitions, losing just once in that run.

Team news

Ramsay will be without midfielders Jayson Molumby and Alex Mowatt due to injury, while Ousmane Diakite could also miss the game against Norwich.

Clement will not be able to call upon either Mirko Topic or Ante Crnac for the remainder of the season due to cruciate ligament injuries.

Elsewhere, Shane Duffy, Jeffrey Schlupp, Gabe Forsyth and Amankwah Forson will be missing, although the quartet are likely to return from injury by the end of this month.

Josh Sargent missed the match against Wrexham due to disciplinary issues after he claimed he was unavailable for the FA Cup clash against Walsall.

"I am not going into details about what this is about and what the future will be because I do not have a crystal ball, but he knows why he is training with the second team and we will see how it evolves in the future," said Clement on the weekend.

The stats

This head-to-head has been fairly even in recent years, with both sides winning twice apiece across the previous five matchups.

The Baggies won the reverse fixture earlier this season 1-0 and it is one of only nine Championship wins for Albion this term.

Across their last six games, both teams have scored in five of them, indicating how suspect the club are defensively.

In Norwich's case, this bet would have landed in five of their last eight games in all competitions, with the Canaries even conceding against League Two side Walsall in the FA Cup.

West Brom and Norwich have two of the worst defensive records in the second tier this season, conceding 38 and 40 goals respectively.

Prediction

With both teams in dire need of three points, this match could be a tight affair and backing a draw would probably be a wise choice, but the Canaries have been impressive in recent weeks.

Considering how poor both teams have been defensively in the league this term, expect a few goals from this match.

As such, backing both teams to score at The Hawthorns looks like the most appealing bet.
