Chris Wilder has led Sheff Utd away from relegation danger but their play-off hopes are all but over.
  • Sheff Utd are without a win in their last four Championship games

  • Swansea have lost their last two without scoring a goal

  • Recommended bet: Over 3.5 goals

Sheff Utd are virtually guaranteed to be in the Championship next season, but Blades manager Chris Wilder is not the sort of character to tolerate his team easing towards the end of the season and that could lead to an entertaining game against Swansea City at Bramall Lane on Friday.

The Swans are firmly established in mid-table, but their away form has not been strong this term and they would love to claim a sixth win on their second-tier travels this term.

Team news

The home side's first-choice goalkeeper Michael Cooper is still on the sidelines, while Sam McCallum will not feature again this season and on-loan midfielder Kalvin Phillips is doubtful.

For the visitors, forward Zeidane Inoussa is out, but he is their only confirmed absentee.

The stats

United have won just one of their last five home games and the Blades' last home clean sheet came way back on December 20th.

Both teams have scored in United's last nine home games.

Swansea have not lost to a team outside the top eight since Christmas and Vitor Matos' side have won six of the last eight when they have scored.

The Swans are third bottom in the standings on away form only in the Championship.

Prediction

United looked to be in for a relegation battle after a dismal start to the Championship game, but they look safe with seven matches remaining and can play with the handbrake off when Swansea head to Bramall Lane on Good Friday.

The Blades have not won in four league matches, but all the ingredients are there for goals in South Yorkshire, especially as the visitors are 13 points clear of the bottom three and under no relegation threat.

Chris Wilder's hosts have kept just two clean sheets in their last 17 games and both teams have scored in their last eight matches on their own patch, so there seems little chance of this match being much different.

Swansea's record of just 17 points from their 19 away games is the third worst in the second tier and it is notable that they have conceded at least twice in five of their last seven away games.

Admittedly, that run has included trips to top-six outfits Ipswich, Millwall and Wrexham, but they are plainly vulnerable at the back.

However, they do possess the division's top marksman in Zan Vipotnik, who has 17 Championship goals to his name this season and who arrives fresh from scoring two goals in Slovenia's 3-2 win over Montenegro on Tuesday.

Both teams will have a certain degree of freedom for this clash and it is worth backing that the pair will be able to generate at least four goals.
