  • Norwich have lost every game they have played at Carrow Road this season

  • Hull hoping to extend their unbeaten run to six matches

  • Recommended bet: Hull to win

It is turning into a miserable Championship season for Norwich and it is their home form that is causing the greatest concern as they look to end a five-match losing run at Carrow Road when Hull head to Norfolk on Saturday.

The Tigers were pegged back by a late Luke Berry goal for Charlton last time, but they have been going along well and make the trip having lost just one of their last eight second-tier outings

Team news

There have been no fresh injury problems for the Canaries, although manager Liam Manning could elect to shuffle the pack as he tries to pull out all the stops to arrest Norwich’s problems

Liam Miller suffered a hamstring injury in the closing stages of Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Charlton while striker Oli McBurnie is struggling with a calf injury for the Tigers.

Kasey Palmer and Eliot Matazo are out with knee injuries but Akin Famewo and David Akintola are expected to be fit.

The stats

Norwich have lost their last five Championship matches.

The Canaries have lost all six of their home league games this season.

Norwich have kept one clean sheet in their 12 Championship games this season.

Both teams have scored in eight of Hull’s last nine league outings.

The Tigers have lost just one of their last eight games.

Seven of Hull’s last nine games have featured at least three goals.

Prediction

Administration-hit Sheffield Wednesday are the only team below Norwich in the Championship table and the Canaries desperately need to get their act together if they are to avoid spending the second half of the season embroiled in a relegation battle.

The chief problem for Liam Manning’s team is that they have yet to gain a point at Carrow Road and Hull look capable of inflicting more pain on the Norfolk outfit.

A late Charlton goal was a blow for the Tigers as they were held to a 1-1 home draw against the Addicks last week, but they are unbeaten in their last five matches and demonstrated that they can perform well on the road against the odds when they claimed a 3-2 success at League One champions Birmingham.

A tally of one point from their last seven games cannot inspire confidence in the home side, who were sunk 2-1 at Swansea in their latest outing and there seems a strong chance that the visitors can come through this one to claim a second away success of the campaign.
