  • Norwich have won only one of the teams' last six meetings

  • Swansea are unbeaten in their last three away games

  • Recommended Bet: Draw

Norwich come into the weekend technically still in the Championship play-off race, but a point or better from Hull when they visit Charlton in one of Saturday’s early kick offs will end their hopes before their match against Swansea even starts.

The Canaries have won three of their last four games, with their only recent setback being a 2-0 home defeat by East Anglian rivals Ipswich.

Swansea are only two places and four points behind Norwich in 11th position and the Welsh side have been ending the campaign in decent shape, with their only defeat in five coming against red-hot Southampton.

The Swans won the first meeting between the teams 2-1 in October, which was their fourth success in the clubs' last six encounters.

Team news

Norwich have been dealing with a lengthy injury list and are likely to be missing Matej Jurasek, Papa Amadou Diallo, Mirko Topic, Ben Chrisene, Gabriel Forsyth, Lucien Mahovo, Jovon Makama and Ante Crnac.

Oscar Schwartau and Ali Ahmed are also rated as doubtful, but Ruairi McConville could be back in action after missing Tuesday’s win over Derby due to illness.

Swansea are still missing Ethan Galbraith, Josh Key and Ishe Samuels-Smith, while Zeidane Inoussa (back) is unlikely to be cleared to play. Eom Ji-Sung, Mark Stamenic and Zan Vipotnik are in contention to return to the starting line-up.

Prediction

Norwich have had some major issues playing at Carrow Road this season and at times their supporters perhaps were keen for the season to end, but now the campaign has reached its final stretch, they probably wish they had a few more games to have a chance of making the play-offs.

The Canaries look to have run out of time to reach the top six despite winning three of their last four matches and a 10th home win of the campaign could prove difficult as they face a solid Swansea side.

The Welsh club have chalked up back-to-back away wins at Leicester and QPR, and in between they also put up a decent fight at home to in-form Southampton before going down 2-1 to a 90th-minute winner.

Swansea won the teams' first meeting 2-1 and they are worth backing to pick up a point in the return match.

Norwich's situation would be very different if they had not somehow lost all of their first seven home league fixtures, but they can sign off at Carrow Road with a close and competitive contest.
