  • Leicester have only won one of their last five but also lost only one

  • QPR have lost their last four Championship matches, conceding 12 goals

  • Recommended bet: Both teams to score

Leicester City returned to winning ways in midweek thanks to a comfortable 2-0 win over Bristol City.

That victory meant they remain in 21st position in the table, although they sit level on points with Oxford United, who occupy the final relegation place.

QPR's play-off ambitions have taken a tumble over their last few games and the 1-0 loss to Birmingham City in midweek was their fourth successive defeat.

That loss dropped the R's to 18th place in the table, just nine points better off than their opponents on Saturday afternoon.

Team news

For the home side, Harry Souttar, Victor Kristiansen, Aaron Ramsey and Jannick Vestergaard will all be unavailable because of injury.

Asmir Begovic has missed the previous three games due to injury and it looks as though this match will be a game too soon for him to make a comeback.

For the visitors, Romarn Burrell is ruled out, as are Ilias Chair, Karamoko Dembele, Ziyad Larkeche, Nicolas Madsen and Justin Obikwu.

This leaves manager Julien Stephan short of options across several areas, making the task of ending a poor run even more difficult.

The stats

The recent head-to-head between these two sides has been even since the start of the 2023/24 campaign.

QPR won 4-1 when the two teams met earlier this season, while Leicester won 6-2 at the beginning of 2025 in an FA Cup clash.

During 2023/24, both sides won this fixture away from home. Leicester sealed a 2-1 win at Loftus Road, with QPR winning 2-1 at the King Power a few months later.

Across the last six match-ups between them in all competitions, both teams have scored in every single game.

In Leicester's 15 matches this year, both teams have found the back of the net in 11 of them, while both teams have scored in six of QPR's matches since the turn of the year.

Jordan James and Abdul Fatawu have scored nine goals each for the Foxes in all competitions and are the club's top scorers.

Burrell is the R's highest scorer this season with 10, but it looks like he will be missing once again.

Prediction

Leicester's season took a turn when they were deducted six points for breaching English Football League financial rules.

It moved them from mid-table to battling relegation and they need to start winning in order to move away from the drop zone.

QPR may also be dragged into a relegation dogfight unless they improve in the coming weeks.

Given that lack of form and the recent history between the two clubs, goals are on the cards at the King Power, although it is difficult to predict a winner of this clash.
