Leicester City vs Sheff Utd predictions: Improving Blades can hunt down Foxes

Leicester City suffered a 3-0 defeat to Southampton last time out
Sheff Utd have won their last two league matches
Recommended bet: Sheff Utd to win
Despite being one of the favourites for promotion this season, Leicester City are languishing way down in 15th place in the second tier.
The Foxes have won just six of their 17 Championship matches so far and in midweek they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Southampton, leaving them currently sitting nine points above the drop zone.
Sheffield United have undergone a mini-resurgence recently. A morale boosting 3-0 win over city rivals Wednesday preceded a victory by the same scoreline against Portsmouth on Wednesday evening.
Chris Wilder has moved the Blades out of the relegation zone and will be targeting a mid-table finish this term.

Team news
The Foxes will be without a number of players for the match this weekend. Ben Nelson, Caleb Okoli, Jakub Stolarczyk, Aaron Ramsey, Harry Souttar and Victor Kristetiansen remain out injured.
Olabade Aluko was sent off in midweek and therefore is unavailable due to suspension.
For the Blades, Oliver Arblaster remains the only long-term absentee.
Ben Godfrey, Tahith Chong and Chiedozie Ogbene will miss the visit to the King Power Stadium, but will be back in action next month.
The stats
The recent history in this match-up favours Leicester, who have won the previous seven matches between the two clubs dating back to 2011.
It has been nearly five years since these teams met, however, with the Foxes condemning United to a 5-0 thrashing in March 2021.
The previous four matches has featured 13 goals scored with both teams scoring in two of those four fixtures.
In the league this season Leicester have scored 20 and conceded 20 goals across their 17 matches thus far. The Blades, however, are one of the lowest scorers in the division.
Their tally of 17 goals is more than just five teams, while defensively, 26 goals have been shipped this term. Only Norwich (28) and rivals Wednesday (33) have conceded more goals in the Championship.
Jordan James and Issahaku Fatawu are top scorers for the home side with three goals apiece this term.
Tyrese Campbell leads the way for the Blades with five goals, but he is among only one of three who have scored more than one goal for the club this season.

Prediction
Leicester may have the upper hand in the recent head-to-heads between the two, but Wilder's men have been impressive recently, scoring six goals and keeping clean sheets in their last two games.
The Foxes will still be reeling from their heavy loss to the Saints and this could give United a chance of piling even more misery on them.
It will be tough, but the Blades could spring a surprise here and win three consecutive matches for the first time this season.
