  • Coventry have lost only one of their last 14 matches

  • There were five goals in the teams' first league meeting this season

  • Recommended Bet: Over 3.5 goals

Coventry will be ready to party as they prepare for their final home match of a fantastic Championship campaign at home to Wrexham on Sunday after they clinched the title with a thumping 5-1 home win over Portsmouth on Tuesday.

Having lost just once in their last 14 matches, the Sky Blues will be looking to put on a show again when they host the Red Dragons, but the match is a far more serious occasion for the visitors, who went into the weekend occupying the final play-off place on goal difference over Hull.

Coventry had been stuttering a little as the winning line approached with three successive draws before the win over Pompey, but they have won 16 of their 22 home league games this season and will be looking to sign off with another success.

Team news

Coventry manager Frank Lampard could decide to shake things up now promotion is assured but he has said he wants to win the final two games so it could be a similar side to Tuesday's match, when Romain Esse and Haji Wright came into the starting XI at the expense of Joel Latibeaudiere and Ellis Simms.

Wrexham are unlikely to make many changes with no reported injuries after their 1-0 win at Oxford, when Ryan Longman was the only change to their previous starting line-up, replacing Issa Kabore.

Prediction

Wrexham have a chance to join Ipswich and become only the second team to complete a league double over Coventry in the Championship this season when they head to the East Midlands on Sunday.

The Red Dragons won the first meeting between the clubs 3-2 on Hallowe'en night and the best option on the return match may be to expect another glut of goals.

The previous two meetings between the teams had finished 4-3 to Wrexham in an FA Cup tie and 3-2 to Coventry in a Carabao Cup clash.

With Coventry looking to put on a show for their celebrating fans and Wrexham going all out for the win they need to strengthen their hold on a play-off place, the ingredients are there for another high-scoring game.

The strength of both sides is their array of attacking talent and six of Coventry's last seven home games have produced at least three goals.

Four of Wrexham's last nine away fixtures have generated four or more goals and they can play their part in another open contest.
