Blackburn vs Oxford predictions: U's can make their point in basement battle

Blackburn are 19th in Championship after last game was abandoned
Oxford are a point above drop zone having lost 2-0 at Swansea
Recommended bet: Draw and under 2.5 goals
Blackburn are once again on home territory when they take on host Oxford on Tuesday night after Saturday’s clash with Sheffield Wednesday at Ewood Park was abandoned — the second time a Rovers game has been called off due to heavy rain with the team leading 1-0 this season.
The U’s, meanwhile, are just a point above the Championship relegation places after losing 2-0 at fellow strugglers Swansea, although they are only three points behind Tuesday's hosts.

Oxford have not kept a clean sheet in any of their last nine games, conceding 14 goals and losing four matches while winning just two in that time.

Prediction
Blackburn will be eager to get back out onto the Ewood Park pitch after Saturday’s Championship clash with Sheffield Wednesday was abandoned when the team was leading 1-0.
Rovers have won just one of their last five games to slip to 19th in the table, having previously claimed three victories on the bounce, and they will be desperate to halt their slide with a win over Oxford on Tuesday.
The U’s have recorded just three victories in their last 13 games and are now just a point above the drop zone. Having lost four of the seven away games in that run, winning only one, Gary Rowett’s men are understandable underdogs.
Blackburn are currently dealing with a plethora of injuries and Ewood Park has not been a happy hunting ground for them so far this season, having won just one and losing six of their nine home league games.
Oxford might not be the best opponents to fully capitalise though, given they have just two road wins to their name, and the pair can at least take a positive result.
It is unlikely to come in a goalfest though with five of Blackburn’s last seven games featuring two goals or fewer, while three of Oxford’s last four matches have gone under 2.5 goals too.
