  • Coventry saw their lead cut to seven points after a 3-0 loss at Ipswich

  • Norwich slipped down to 23rd after yet another defeat

  • Sheff Utd looking to win five matches in a row

Coventry suffered just their second Championship defeat of the season at the weekend, going down 3-0 to Ipswich at Portman Road.

Frank Lampard's men still have a seven-point cushion at the top, but he will be hoping to get back to winning ways in midweek against Preston.

At the bottom things are much tighter. Norwich and Portsmouth occupy 23rd and 22nd in the table and remain one and five points away from safety ahead of their midweek matches.

Ross Kilvington has correct score predictions for all 12 Championship matches.

Preston vs Coventry (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Preston host the league leaders in what could be an interesting tie. The home side are unbeaten in their previous three Championship matches.

While the Sky Blues lost to Ipswich in midweek, Lampard's side will be keen on returning to winning ways on Tuesday evening.

Score prediction: Preston 0-2 Coventry

Sheff Utd vs Norwich (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Sheff Utd are on an incredible winning run under Chris Wilder which has seen them move out of the relegation zone.

Victories over Stoke, Leicester, Portsmouth and Sheff Wed now has the club sitting 18th in the table.

Norwich, however, are in serious danger. A run of just one win in five games sees them five points adrift in the drop zone.

Score prediction: Sheff Utd 2-0 Norwich

Southampton vs West Brom (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Southampton have won four of their five games under Tonda Eckhart, leading to him being given the head coach job on a permanent basis.

West Brom have been inconsistent of late, but they have the capabilities to get a result on Tuesday evening.

Score prediction: Southampton 1-1 West Brom

Swansea vs Portsmouth (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Swansea bounced back to winning ways at the weekend thanks to a comfortable 2-0 win over Oxford, which moved them three points away from the relegation zone.

Portsmouth have won just one of their last 10 fixtures and expect this run to be extended.

Score prediction: Swansea 3-1 Portsmouth

Blackburn vs Oxford Utd (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Both of these teams are separated by just three points near the bottom of the table and have struggled this season.

Indeed, the two clubs have won just one of their last five matches and there will not be much between Blackburn and Oxford Utd in this clash.

Score prediction: Blackburn 1-1 Oxford Utd

Watford vs Sheff Wed (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Watford bounced back to winning ways with a 3-2 victory over Norwich at the weekend, lifting them to 13th in the table.

Sheff Wed are stranded at the bottom of the table after a points deduction due to entering administration and it should be a routine win for the home side.

Score prediction: Watford 2-0 Sheff Wed

Charlton vs Middlesbrough (Tuesday, 7.45pm)

Charlton are on a run of just one win in seven matches dating back to October and that came against struggling West Brom.

Middlesbrough are now only seven points behind Coventry and a statement win at The Valley would continue their recent momentum under new boss Kim Hellberg.

Score prediction: Charlton 0-3 Middlesbrough

QPR vs Birmingham (Tuesday, 8pm)

QPR have won three of their last four matches and head into this clash against Birmingham full of confidence.

The away side lost to Southampton last time out, but this was only their second defeat since the end of October.

Score prediction: QPR 1-2 Birmingham

Ipswich vs Stoke (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Ipswich look like they have finally hit some decent form. Aside from a 2-1 loss to Oxford last week, the Tractor Boys defeated leaders Coventry and won away at Hull.

Stoke have lost four of their last five league matches and will find it difficult to end that run on Wednesday.

Score prediction: Ipswich 3-1 Stoke

Bristol City vs Leicester (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

One of the favourites for promotion at the start of the season, Leicester are in 14th place heading into this match, although they did win last time out against Derby.

Bristol City have won two and lost two of their previous four games. If they perform like they did against Pompey and Swansea recently, they could get a result.

Score prediction: Bristol City 1-1 Leicester

Derby vs Millwall (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Derby won five games in a row between October 21st and November 8th, but have won just once since then.

Millwall are right in the mix for promotion this season and have won three successive matches in the Championship.

Score prediction: Derby 0-1 Millwall

Hull vs Wrexham (Wednesday, 8pm)

Hull are just two points off the play-offs, yet they have won just one of their last four games.

Wrexham finally look settled in the second tier and have not lost in the league since October 18th.

Score prediction: Hull 2-3 Wrexham
