Hellberg confirms Middlesbrough boost ahead of Norwich City clash

Middlesbrough boss Kim Hellberg has confirmed Jeremy Sarmiento is ready to return for Saturday’s Championship clash with Norwich City.

The winger has missed Boro’s last three games in all competitions through injury but is now back in full training and expected to be included in the squad.

Sarmiento travelled for the midweek Carabao Cup tie at Crystal Palace, but Hellberg decided not to risk him despite being close to a return.

“He’s good,” Hellberg said. “He was with us at Crystal Palace, but wasn’t in the squad because it would have been a minor risk, I think, by putting him in a little bit too early, and I didn’t feel that was necessary.

“I kept him out of the squad for security a little bit to give him a little bit more time. But now he’s ready.”
