Jorge Jesus has made a perfect start as Portugal boss, leading the Nations League holders to wins over Wales and Norway, and he will expect his side to maintain their strong form in Thursday’s clash with Denmark.

Jesus was always expected to start with a win against Wales but the victory over 2026 World Cup quarter-finalists Norway really caught the eye, with that result making Portugal hard to oppose in Copenhagen.
The memories of the 2025 Parken Stadium defeat wore off as soon as they went on to lift their second Nations League title and there is more than enough quality in the squad to see off their hosts.
Portugal should welcome Ronaldo back into the fold in Copenhagen and his reintroduction should have a big impact on the corner count.
Jesus’ side earned only two corners without their iconic forward in Norway, but Ronaldo's love of shooting from range – often to the detriment of his team – should force a few more.
Portugal racked up 10 corners against Wales prior to that and should land more flag-kicks than the Danes, who managed just two in their own win over the Dragons.
