Fair to say, in the Carabao Cup, Manchester City are the side no one wants to face. Since 2014, the Sky Blues have won this competition on seven occasions, five of which came under Pep Guardiola, including beating Arsenal 2-0 in March's final; Nico O'Reilly at the double at Wembley.

This season, Enzo Maresca's side will commence their EFL Cup campaign by welcoming Norwich City to the Etihad on Thursday evening. Ahead of this match, the fourth round draw took place on Wednesday night, so find out who await the winners of this clash.

When will Manchester City vs Brighton take place?

Carabao Cup fourth round fixtures are scheduled to take place on 27, 28 and 29 October. Assuming the Sky Blues oust Norwich, they will welcome Brighton to the Etihad twice in a matter of days, with the pair meeting in the Premier League on Halloween.

Given that the Seagulls are in action the previous Sunday, this EFL Cup clash will have to take place on Wednesday 28 October.

Manchester City vs Brighton head-to-head record

Matches Played: 33.

Manchester City Wins: 20. Draws: 5. Brighton Wins: 8.

Surprisingly, Manchester City have not won any of their last four meetings with the Seagulls. Pep Guardiola lost his final two visits to Sussex, both 2-1, while their two most recent encounters in Manchester have produced draws.

This will be a first League Cup clash between the pair since 2008. Back then, Mark Hughes' side drew 2-2 at the Withdean, Gelson Fernandes and Stephen Ireland the scorers, before they were ousted on penalties; Michael Ball the only man to miss from 12 yards. Fair to say, plenty has changed at both clubs since. Had Fabian Hürzeler's team not fought back from 2-0 down to win at Old Trafford on Wednesday night, this would have been a Manchester derby.

How can I watch Manchester City in the Carabao Cup?

In the United Kingdom and Ireland, all 92 Carabao Cup ties are being broadcast live by Sky Sports across their various channels. Meantime, terrestrial broadcaster ITV also showcase, at least, one match per round free-to-air.

In the United States, CBS Sports are the EFL Cup rights holder's, putting selected matches on their primary channel, while the rest can be found over on Paramount+.
