Exclusive says Chelsea star “seeing specialist” as he races to get fit for Premier League return
Chelsea striker Joao Pedro has been seeing a knee specialist in London as he races to be fit for the resumption of the season.
While fans are suffering, Chelsea players are enjoying this long international break as a way to get fit.
One key man we want to see back in action is Joao Pedro. There was no warning he had an injury – he just vanished from the lineup against Brentford before the break. That’s led most to assume it’s just a small problem – but as we’ve learned with Xabi Alonso, just because he doesn’t tell you there’s a big issue, doesn’t mean there isn’t one.
The latest reports today hold that the striker has been receiving treatment from a knee specialist during the break, and it all sounds rather worrying.

An exclusive from the Evening Standard says that the 25 year old has been “seeing a specialist in London over the international break in an attempt to try to speed up his return to the pitch.”
Reports from Brazil at the time the injury was announced claimed he would be out for four weeks – meaning he would be already halfway back by now.
