Olympiakos made the playoff round after finishing 18th in the Champions League league phase last season but they face a tricky third qualifying round tie this year against NEC Nijmegen, starting with the first leg in Greece on Tuesday.
The Dutch side have not appeared in any European competition since reaching the last 32 of the UEFA Cup in 2008-09, but they finished third in the Eredivisie last season and enter this competition at the same stage as Olympiakos, who were runners-up to AEK Athens in the Greek Super League.
The winners will be among the 14 team to progress to the the playoff round and the home side are favourites to take a lead to the Netherlands for the second leg on August 11.

Prediction
Olympiakos away sounds like one of the more intimidating draws in European football but Dutch side NEC Nijmegen will be hopeful it's not quite the daunting test it used to be.
The Greek side had what looked an ideal preparation for this tie with matches against three Eredivisie teams over the last fortnight, but after beating Fortuna Sittard 3-1, they lost to fifth-placed Ajax 1-0 and were beaten by seventh-placed AZ Alkmaar 3-2 on Saturday, so NEC, who finished above both those sides in third place, should be eyeing a decent showing on Tuesday.
NEC also had some disappointing warm-up results, losing to Anderlecht and Elversberg, before going down 2-1 to LaLiga side Sevilla in their final prep game on Friday.
As such, it is hard to have great faith in either side winning, but a bet on both teams scoring is more appealing.
NEC were the second-highest away scorers in the Netherlands last term with 36 goals in 17 road games, while Olympiakos did not make the most of home advantage in Europe last season.
The Greek side won only one of their four league-phase home games and then lost 2-0 in the home leg of their playoff match against Bayer Leverkusen.
