Serhou Guirassy has enjoyed a brilliant start to the season and his top form at the start of the term has seen him send an early warning to Harry Kane and Bayern Munich.
The striker's positive beginnings have seen him score twice in Borussia Dortmund's opening two matches of the Bundesliga campaign, propelling them to third in the table with victories in both of their games so far.
Bayern and Kane's start to the new season hasn't been the same, with the 35-time league champions seeing a mixed opening while their prolific striker is yet to to find the back of the net in the Bundesliga.

Both sides started the season with emphatic victories as Dortmund defeated Hamburg 2-0 while Bayern thrashed Stuttgart 5-1. Guirassy completed 90 minutes in his team's victory, scoring once, while Kane played 84 minutes in Die Roten's triumph, failing to score.
Die Schwarzgelben continued their winning start with a comeback from two goals down to defeat Hoffenhein 3-2. The Guinea international struck the first of Dortmund's three to start the fight back. However, Bayern's perfect opening was brought to an end by a shock 0-0 draw with Schalke. Kane was brought off the bench for the second-half, but couldn't find a breakthrough in the stalemate.
Both players have had major confidence boosters in other competitions. Guirassy netted a brace in Dortmund's Champions League opening 3-2 victory over Villarreal while Kane scored in the win against Bodø/Glimt, and grabbed a double in a DFB-Pokal triumph at VfL Osnabrück.
Of course it is very early in the season, but Guirassy and Dortmund will be looking to take every potential advantage they can get on Bayern as they look to end an agonising wait to win the Bundesliga title for a ninth time.
The Black and Yellow have not finished at the summit of the top flight since the 2011/12 season when Jürgen Klopp led them to back-to-back titles for the second time in their history, having previously done so in the mid-1990s.
Bayern have won all but one of the 14 editions since, with Bayer Leverkusen being the sole victors in a dominant run by Die Roten, winning the 2023/24 title unbeaten. Vincent Kompany is now looking to lead his side to a third-straight victory. Dortmund finished second last season, 16 points behind top-spot Bayern.
There are still another 32 matches to go and two editions of Der Klassiker, the first of which is set to be played on 31 October at the Allianz Arena and the return fixture on 6 March. Bayern and Kane will no doubt pick up their form, but Guirassy and Dortmund's good start to the season just sends an early warning that they are ready to fight once again this campaign.
