Bayern Munich’s star striker Harry Kane has added another record to his illustrious collection.

England captain Harry Kane scored Bayern's second in the Bundesliga game in the 39th minute from the penalty spot. It was Kane's 100th goal in the German top flight. No one has reached that mark faster.

The 33-year-old needed only 98 matches to bring up three figures. The previous record belonged to former Cologne player Dieter Müller, who needed 129 games to reach the 100-goal mark in the Bundesliga on 25 September 1977.

Before his goal, Kane had barely featured against the Berlin side and had been anonymous in the box. He smashed the penalty into the top-left corner with his ninth touch of the ball, giving keeper Frederik Rönnow no chance. It was his second goal of the season on the fourth matchday for the top scorer of the past three seasons.

Since his move from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer of 2023, Kane has scored 151 goals in 154 games for Bayern. In the record champions' all-time scorers list, the 33-year-old already sits seventh.

Union left-back Tom Rothe's foul on Bayern right winger Michael Olise led to the penalty. The pair had already been involved in a whole series of duels. In this one, the former Dortmund player stepped on Olise's foot after a short feint, and referee Benjamin Brand rightly pointed to the spot.

As well as Kane, Jamal Musiala (18) and Olise (43) scored in the first half against overmatched visitors at the Allianz Arena. Both took their goals brilliantly.
