Key stats from Borussia Dortmund's 3-0 win over Paderborn
Borussia Dortmund secured a hard-fought 3-0 win over Paderborn in the Bundesliga on Saturday with Fabio Silva opening the scoring after five minutes and substitute Felix Nmecha bagging a late brace. Here are some key stats from the clash:
1) Five games, five wins
Since the Supercup loss to Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund have played in five games and won all five, marking their best start to a season since 2015.
The BVB's spectacular run includes a win each in their opening three Bundesliga fixtures of a season, a first for the club since the 2015-16 season (5).
Only Freiburg can match their record in the competition right now. If promoted side Elversberg beat Bayern tonight, they'd be the third team with a 100% win record in the new top-flight season.
2) Guirassy, Silva magic for third game in a row
The Serhou Guirassy-Fabio Silva juggernaut rolled on. The forwards linked-up clinically for their opening goal yesterday, marking the third time they've combined to create a goal.
Previously, Guirassy and Silva first came together for a goal in the Hoffenheim clash with the former assisting and the Portuguese scoring.

3) Silva 2026-27 > Silva 2025-26
Fabio Silva bagged only three goals in the 2025-26 season following his transfer from Wolves, as the forward struggled to adapt to life at Dortmund.
But just five appearances into the new season, and the forward has already bagged four goals, one more than what he managed in the entirety of last term.
4) Dortmund extend Paderborn dominance
With the 3-0 win on Saturday, Dortmund extended their winning run against Paderborn to three games after previously beating them 6-1 in the Bundesliga in May 2020 and and 3-2 in the DFB-Pokal in February 2021.
More importantly, the BVB remained unbeaten against the North Rhine-Westphalia side in eight games now. VfL Wolfsburg are the only side other German side against whom the Prussians actively command such a lengthy run without a defeat.
5) Nmecha is off the mark for the season
And to end it with the man of the match, Felix Nmecha himself. The German star opened his goalscoring account for the season here with a late brace in what was his sixth appearance in all competitions.
Last season, he was off the mark on matchday two against Union Berlin and eventually finished with five goals in all competitions, including two in the UEFA Champions League, while these were first Bundeliga goals since January 2026 (vs Eintracht Frankfurt).
It was also his first brace in all competitions since October 2025, with Nmecha bagging a double against Copenhagen on matchday three of the Champions League last season.
