FussballNews: Amorim wants another striker – €35m Stuttgart star targeted

Despite Ruben Amorim claiming he is happy with his options up front, AC Milan are reportedly eyeing a move for a Stuttgart striker.

According to Fussball News in Germany (via Calciomercato.com), Milan are considering a winter move for Ermedin Demirovic. The Bosnian striker from Stuttgart has reportedly been selected by Amorim to strengthen the Rossoneri’s attack.

However, it will not be an easy pursuit: the Bundesliga club’s initial asking price is at least €35m. Despite this, the management are laying the groundwork to see if they can pull off a mid-season coup.

Amorim U-turn?

The Portuguese coach has apparently personally stated the striker position as one of the priorities for January. He wants a physical centre-forward, capable of dominating the penalty area and offering new solutions.

The interest in Demirović is not entirely new: his name was linked to Milan in July 2025, with a valuation then estimated at around €20-25m. The Bosnian has a contract with Stuttgart until 2028, a deal made official upon his transfer from Augsburg in 2024.

So far, the Hamburg-born striker – who holds an EU passport – has scored four goals in five games in the Bundesliga and the Champions League. He bagged a hat-trick against Viking last week in just 12 minutes, from the 20th to the 32nd.

As a reminder, Amorim was recently asked about the role that the young Francesco Camarda will play this season and he made it clear that he sees him very much as Ramos’ deputy.

“We think Camarda needs space and time, but we could also play with a false nine. I believe a lot in Camarda and I think we need to have him and not other options,” he said.

“By helping Francesco, I’m also helping myself. Ramos is at a very high level, but Camarda needs to feel like he’s not the third choice, but the second, so he can be ready when called upon.

“That way, he’ll feel important. He’s adapting to our game. He’ll have space, and there will be a difference compared to Ramos, but I believe in him a lot, but we’re on a new project. He has to fight for a place regardless of his age, and he’s a Milan player, and we believe in him a lot.”
