Bayern Munich remain calm despite lack of movement regarding departures
With just slightly over two weeks in the transfer window, clubs are going all out to strengthen their squad. They are running against time to complete the needed deals. The clock is also ticking for Bayern Munich, but it is for sorting out the departures of the fringe players.
The defending Bundesliga champions have completed the deals to strengthen the squad. They have made three additions to the squad, with the latest one coming in the form of Bara Sapoko Ndiaye. Bayern are content with the squad for next season, but they want to sort the future of three fringe players who are not part of their plans for next season before the window shuts on September 1.
Joao Palhinha, Sacha Boey, and Bryan Zaragoza have been told to look for new clubs this summer since they are not expected to get game time next season. However, Die Roten are yet to receive concrete offers for the trio.
Bayern have set valuations for the three players. They are not keen on giving cut-price deals to clubs even though only two weeks are left in the transfer window. While talking to the media on Friday (via iMiaSanMia), Bayern’s director of sport Max Eberl insisted that the club is not worried about departures and expects movement to intensify in the coming days.

Will Bayern change their stance later in the transfer window?
Bayern are looking for permanent departures as they believe a loan deal will not benefit them. The club hierarchy don’t see these three players becoming a part of Vincent Kompany’s plans even after productive loan spells. They have refused to rule out the possibility of keeping them in the squad if they don’t get offers for permanent transfers. All three players have been training with the first team in Munich. Palhinha and Boey also played in pre-season games, while Zaragoza was recovering from knee inflammation.
Eberl insisted that Palhinha’s move to Aston Villa is off since the Premier League club wants a loan deal with an option to buy. They are likely to get loan offers for Boey and Zaragoza in the latter stages of the transfer window.
It will be interesting to see if Bayern will change their stance as they get closer to the deadline day. The trio will also push for a transfer since they want to play regularly next season.
