Bayern Munich ‘in talks’ with Saudi clubs to offload Sacha Boey

Bayern Munich are actively looking to offload Sacha Boey.

The summer transfer window has ended for major European leagues, but it is still open for other leagues, especially Saudi Arabia.

Christoph Freund claimed recently that any potential departure for Boey is unlikely, and Bayern will try to reintegrate him in the squad if he fails to move elsewhere.

Sacha Boey: Could he move to Saudi Arabia?

Christian Falk has told CFBayern Insider that Bayern are currently in talks with Saudi Pro League clubs to offload Boey.

The right-back is under contract at Bayern until 2028, but he is open to moving to Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Pro League transfer window is open until Sunday, which means there is still time for Sacha Boey to secure a move away from Allianz Arena.

Falk said: “FC Bayern is in talks with Saudi Arabian clubs to try and finalize a transfer for Sacha Boey after all. The right-back is under contract with the champions until 2028 but is fundamentally open to a move to Saudi Arabia.

“A transfer to Everton recently fell through on deadline day. The Saudi Pro League transfer window remains open until Sunday.

“The complicated nature of Boey’s situation is highlighted by the fact that he has once again changed agents. The defender had only switched management at the start of 2026, joining the agency of star agent Moussa Sissoko; prior to that, he was represented by Bembi Vungbote. Currently, Boey is receiving advice from family members.”

Sacha Boey: Bayern likely to sell him?

The French right-back joined Bayern in the January transfer window of 2024, and has made 37 appearance for the club, scoring one goal.

He spent the second half of last season on loan at Galatasaray, where he scored two goals in 17 games.

A permanent move to Galatasaray did not materialise. However, he was linked with a move to Everton, before the Toffees decided to move on to other target.

Vincent Kompany has Konrad Laimer and Josip Stanisic are first-choice right-backs, while Joshua Kimmich can also play there.
