Barcelona have completed the signing of young German midfielder Mirza Catovic on loan from Stuttgart. He joins Barcelona Atletic as part of the club's plan to strengthen the reserve side with developable young talent.

According to radio station "Cadena SER", the deal includes an option to buy at the end of the loan. Activating that clause is tied to Catovic hitting a set of sporting objectives agreed between the two clubs. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano puts the value of the buy option at 3.5 million euros.
