Both teams to score landed in 54 of these sides’ combined 76 Premier League games last season
Seven goals were scored across the two meetings between this pair last season
Recommended bet: Brighton to win and both teams to score
Two of last season’s most entertaining sides raise the curtain on their 2025-26 Premier League campaign at the Amex on Saturday and more goals are expected on the south coast.
The Seagulls, who have raked in over £100m in transfer fees this summer, narrowly missed out on a European berth last season, but they will be hoping to push on under Fabian Hurzeler this term.
Team news
Brighton are without Solly March and Julio Enciso, Stefanos Tzimas is a doubt and new signing Charalampos Kostoulas may not be fit in time.
With Joao Pedro and Simon Adingra departing in the summer, the Seagulls’ attacking setup is likely to consist of Yankuba Minteh, Kaoru Mitoma and Georginio Rutter.
Fulham begin the season with almost a clean bill of health, although star left-back Antonee Robinson is a major doubt as his recovery from surgery continues.
The stats
Fulham lost four of their final six away games last season.
Brighton picked up seven points in their final three home games last season.
Both teams to score landed in a joint-league high 74% of Brighton’s home games last term.
Brighton have scored at least two goals in all five pre-season friendlies.

Prediction
Brighton were just one position outside the European qualification spots last season, but it was a promising first season under the Premier League’s youngest-ever manager and Fabian Hurzeler’s team will be hoping to push on in his second campaign on the south coast.
Sticking with the Seagulls’ previous mentality, Hurzeler oversaw a joint-league high 27 games which saw both teams score last season, with Saturday’s opponents Fulham being the only team to match that.
The Cottagers were held back by inconsistency, though, finishing mid-table once again and losing four of their final six Premier League away games.
One of their seven road defeats last season came at the Amex Stadium and, after a summer of relative inactivity in the transfer market, they could open the campaign with another defeat.
They have scored in their last six meetings with Brighton, though, netting 12 times in this sequence, so they should be able to find the net in defeat on Saturday.
