Luke Littler has already collected six major titles in 2026. The world No.1 is now targeting something no player has previously achieved.
The 19-year-old has won every PDC title available to him this year, lifting the World Championship, World Masters, UK Open, Premier League, World Cup and World Matchplay trophies.
With the World Grand Prix, European Championship, Grand Slam of Darts and Players Championship Finals still ahead, Littler believes a clean sweep remains possible.
“The clean sweep is very much on,” he told reporters during the unveiling of a mural in his hometown of Warrington.
Littler sets sights on further history
Littler’s latest title arrived at the Winter Gardens, where he defended the World Matchplay crown with an 18-9 victory over Gerwyn Price.
He averaged 111.53 in the final, hit 12 maximums and completed six finishes above 100. Littler also became the first player since Michael van Gerwen to win consecutive World Matchplay titles.
Across five matches in Blackpool, he recorded an average of 111.04. That broke Phil Taylor’s previous tournament record of 106.31, set in 2010.
The Warrington player knows the scale of the achievement still in front of him, but is keeping his focus on the next tournament rather than looking too far ahead.
“No one’s ever done it. That’s what I’m going for,” he said.
What does Littler need to win?
Littler must first make sure he qualifies for the Players Championship Finals in Minehead. He returns to action at Players Championship events 27 and 28 in Leicester on August 25 and 26.
The next ranked televised major is the World Grand Prix, held in Leicester from September 28 to October 4. Littler is the defending champion after beating Luke Humphries in last year’s final.
The European Championship and Grand Slam of Darts follow before the Players Championship Finals complete the remaining major schedule ahead of the World Championship.
Littler will also defend the Grand Slam title in Wolverhampton in November, with the World Championship beginning at Alexandra Palace on December 10.
A clean sweep remains a demanding target. Different formats and short matches leave little room for an off-night, while Humphries, Price and Van Gerwen will all have opportunities to stop his run.
However, Littler enters the second half of the season with every major title still in his possession. The target is no longer theoretical. Four more trophies would complete a season that has never been produced before.
