Khaleel Ahmed and Matheesha Pathirana each took two wickets as Chennai fought back, but their target proved insufficient, and a fifth consecutive defeat officially ends their play-off hopes, whilst Punjab are strongly placed, sitting second in the points table. Shreyas Iyer is the Player of the Match.
