Swepson to M Henriques191/10
Catch OUT. OUT! Caught. Mitchell Swepson to Moises Henriques. Length ball, slog sweeping, Played in the air uncontrolled to deep mid wicket, caught by Weibgen. Queensland snag an important bonus point win heading into the mid-season break from the One-Day Cup, defeating New South Wales by 96 runs. Sent in to bat, Queensland found the boundary early and often, before losing some wickets and losing momentum at 3/97. From there, captain Marnus Labuschagne steadied the ship with a superb 101, continuing his dream run of form in the first half of this domestic summer. He was extremely well supported by youngster Lachlan Hearne, who scored 50 off 54 balls. A small collapse followed once those two were dismissed, but a strong finish from Hayden Kerr set New South Wales 288 to win. With a bit of rain around, youngsters Sam Konstas (47) and Lachlan Shaw (60) managed the situation with great maturity, until the pair were both caught behind down the leg side. Moises Henriques had to watch as the rest of his teammates fell at the other end, eventually holing out on the boundary to conclude the match. Jimmy Peirson broke records by taking 6 catches behind the stumps, but Labuschagne's match-defining century and 2 wickets with the ball earned him another Player of the Match award.
