The World Cup is here, and Betway has launched one of its biggest South African promotions of the tournament. The WC Soccer Jackpots gives both new and existing customers the chance to win a share of R300,000 every single matchday, with up to 5,000 winners selected daily. If you are already a Betway customer or are thinking about signing up, here is everything you need to know.

The WC Soccer Jackpots is a daily lucky draw running throughout the World Cup, from 11 June to 19 July 2026. Each matchday, Betway distributes R300,000 in cash prizes across 5,000 winners, selected at random from all eligible entries placed that day.
To earn entries, you need to place cash bets on World Cup matches between 17h00 and 20h00 SAST. Each qualifying bet earns you one entry into that day's draw, up to a maximum of five entries per customer per day. Your first five qualifying bets count. Any bets placed beyond that will not earn additional entries.
The draw resets every day. Winners are notified after payouts are made, and the jackpot starts fresh the following matchday.
The promotion is open to all new and existing Betway customers who are South African citizens or permanent residents, aged 18 or older, with a valid Betway account. You do not need to opt in. As long as you place qualifying bets within the daily window, your entries are automatically counted.
Self-excluded individuals cannot participate, and Betway reserves the right to disqualify any participant whose account is flagged for irregular behaviour.
Both single and multi-bets qualify for the Soccer Jackpots, provided the bet includes at least one World Cup match. However, there are two market exclusions to be aware of:
Draw No Bet markets do not qualify. Outrights do not qualify.
As long as your bet falls outside of these two excluded categories and includes a World Cup fixture, it will count as an entry. The minimum qualifying stake is R1.00 per bet, and only cash bets are eligible. Bets placed using free bets or bonus funds will not earn entries into the draw.
One important point to note is that cashing out a bet after it has been used as a qualifying entry may result in disqualification. If you intend to use a bet as a Soccer Jackpots entry, it is worth letting it run to settlement rather than using the cash out function.
Unlike a winner-takes-all draw, the WC Soccer Jackpots operates across eight prize tiers, with 5,000 winners sharing the R300,000 daily prize pool. Here is how the prizes break down:
1st Prize: 1 winner, R15,000 2nd Prize: 3 winners, R8,000 each 3rd Prize: 10 winners, R2,800 each 4th Prize: 20 winners, R1,400 each 5th Prize: 100 winners, R450 each 6th Prize: 300 winners, R150 each 7th Prize: 34 winners, R50 each 8th Prize: 4,532 winners, R25 each
Each customer can win only once per day, regardless of how many entries they have in the draw. Winnings are paid as cash and are withdrawable immediately, with no wagering requirements attached.
It is also worth noting that the jackpot amount may vary from day to day and will be displayed on the Betway promotions page. The R300,000 figure represents the standard daily pool, but Betway reserves the right to adjust this.
A few additional rules are worth keeping in mind before you start placing qualifying bets:
Only bets placed between 17h00 and 20h00 SAST on matchdays will count. Bets placed outside this window will not earn entries, regardless of which market or fixture they cover.
The promotion runs on matchdays only. On days where no World Cup fixtures are scheduled, there will be no qualifying draw.
Winners may be required to complete an information disclosure agreement. Failure to comply can result in disqualification.
Prizes are not transferable and cannot be substituted for alternative rewards.
Betway may suspend or terminate the promotion at any time, including for legal or regulatory reasons. In the event of any conflict between the promotional material and the official terms and conditions, the terms and conditions take precedence.
If you have a query about the promotion or a dispute regarding your entries, you can contact Betway support by email at support@betway.co.za or by phone on 0861 787 250. Escalations can be directed to the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board at Complaints.Compliance@wcgrb.co.za.
Betting should always be approached as entertainment, not as a source of income. Set a budget before you start and only bet what you can afford to lose. The WC Soccer Jackpots is designed to add excitement to your World Cup experience, not to encourage you to spend beyond your means.
