Booking Codes Explained: How to Generate and Share a Bet Slip Code

What is a Booking Code? 

A booking code is a short alphanumeric code generated after adding selections to a bet slip. Think of it as a shortcut to a completed bet slip. Instead of saving every selection manually, the code stores the matches and outcomes you’ve chosen in a format that you can load later. 

For example, you may choose a home win in one match, over 2.5 goals in another, draw in the next, and both teams to score in a fourth selection. The bookmaker can save those choices under one unique betting code. Therefore, when you or someone else enters the code on the betting platform, the system will load those selections on a new bet slip. 

With a booking code, you can easily continue or revisit a bet you started earlier. It also makes it easy to share your predictions with another bettor. The code will contain your picks when the user loads it, and they can decide how much to stake and whether to place the bet. How to Generate a Booking Code

The process of generating a booking code varies across Nigerian bookmakers. However, it is similar and only takes a few clicks. Here is how to do it.

How to Use Someone Else’s Booking Code

As mentioned earlier, you can also use a booking code generated by another bettor. The first thing is to confirm where the code is from. This is important because booking codes are unique to bookmakers. So a Bet9ja code will not work on Sportybet, and vice versa. 

Once confirmed, open the bookmaker’s website or app and locate the booking code field. It’s usually on the bet slip or near it. Enter the code exactly as it was shared with you. Then, select the option to load it. If the code is correct, the selections associated with the booking code will appear on the bet slip.
