Chasing a revised target of 234 to win, the home side's middle order couldn't put together a partnership as they fell one by one, slumping to 8/71 before Gardner (35) and Garth (42 not out) combined for a 77-run partnership to keep the hope of an unlikely comeback alive but the damage was already done.
