Defending their huge total, it was an impressive bowling display as MI Emirates struggled to get back into the game. Tom Banton gave them hope with an explosive 63, with good support from Muhammad Waseem, but Usman Tariq removed Banton as one of his three victims and from there, Vipers closed out victory, David Payne taking two late wickets. MI Emirates will get a second chance however, as they will face the winning of the Eliminator in Qualifier 2, to decide who faces the Vipers in the showpiece game. Andries Gous has been adjudged Player of the Match for his brilliant century.
