Kylian Mbappe stole the show with the winning goal against Real Madrid on Tuesday night

Kylian Mbappe is having major doubts over his long-touted move to Real Madrid — and Liverpool are ready to take advantage.

Mbappe, 23, was in breathtaking form in Paris Saint-Germain’s 1-0 Champions League defeat of Los Blancos on Tuesday night.

Despite the Frenchman’s winning goal arriving in the dying stages, Madrid were comfortably second best throughout the contest.

So much so that Mbappe is now concerned about their future prospects according to Sport.

The report suggests that the forward’s main desire for wanting to join the LaLiga club was to create a legacy similar to that of Cristiano Ronaldo.

With Los Blancos still in a transitional period and restricted finances making a large-scale overhaul impossible, Mbappe is fearful of joining them at the wrong time.

Recognising his desire to win as many trophies as possible, Liverpool are thought to have made their pitch.

The Merseysiders believe that the attraction of working under Jurgen Klopp and spearheading an era of dominance for the Reds is something that attracts Mbappe.

However, PSG are not willing to give up their prized asset without a fight either.

The Independent say the Les Parisiens have tabled a fresh offer which would make Mbappe the world’s highest-paid player.

It is claimed the offer is far in excess of £500,000 per week and actually closer to the £1million mark.

The club’s hierarchy believe flexing their financial muscle is the best way of stopping a bidding war and hope to take advantage of Mbappe’s Madrid doubts.

Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney is attracting interest from Real Madrid

Real Madrid are plotting a summer move to bring Arsenal full-back Kieran Tierney to the Bernabeu, according to Calciomercato.

Tierney, 24, signed an extension until 2026 at the Emirates only last year so any switch would likely involve a significant fee.

Lautaro Martinez could leave Inter Milan this summer with Manchester City and Arsenal interested in a deal.

The Sun claim the 24-year-old has long wanted to test himself in the Premier League and his club may be willing to cash in should a suitable offer arrive.

The Mirror believe that Newcastle have already started working on a summer move for Lille centre-half Sven Botman.

Botman, 22, was a top January target for the Magpies but they failed to agree a fee with his club, eventually moving for Brighton’s Dan Burn instead.
