Cristian Romero Addresses Transfer Rumours as Tottenham Fight Relegation Under Igor Tudor

Tottenham captain Cristian Romero sidestepped transfer talk in the wake of their Champions League win over Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night and insists he is fully focused on the final weeks of the Premier League season.
Spurs are mired in a relegation scrap having won only two of their last 21 league matches, a run of form that has seen the north London side plummet down the table.
The dire showings saw Thomas Frank relieved of his duties at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and replaced with Igor Tudor last month.
Spurs looking better under Tudor
The Croat oversaw a commendable 1-1 draw at Liverpool last weekend, while Spurs followed up the Anfield stalemate with the aforementioned 3-2 victory over Atletico in midweek.
While Spurs ultimately crashed out of the competition, losing 7-5 on aggregate, the result will have boosted morale for the run in.
Tudor’s side return to domestic duties with the welcome of relegation rivals Nottingham Forest on Sunday as Spurs look to stave off the drop.
Relegation would see a host of current Spurs players linked with a summer exit, including Romero, who was courted by Atletico last summer before putting pen to paper on a new deal in the capital.
And while the Argentine is again being tipped with a move away from the club later this year, Romero insists his priority is to keep the club in the Premier League.
Romero 'focused' on Spurs' situation
"The truth is that I’m focused on the situation we’re in," Romero said after Wednesday’s win over Atletico.
"I have a lot of respect and affection for the club and I want to finish the season in the best way possible. We’ll see later but the most important thing now is to recover energy to help Spurs."
Romero wouldn’t be short of suitors should Spurs look to sell the 27-year-old at the end of the season.
Madrid pair Real and Atletico are both reportedly monitoring the Argentina international’s situation at the club with the Spanish giants eager to bolster at the back this summer.
