Nick Woltemade Wants Newcastle Exit, Bayern Munich or Stuttgart Return Reported

Nick Woltemade is unhappy at Newcastle and would welcome the chance to return to Germany with either VfB Stuttgart or Bayern Munich, reports German publication Bild.
Woltemade moved to the Magpies from Stuttgart last summer as Newcastle sought to strengthen their attack line in preparation for Alexander Isak’s Liverpool switch.
The 24-year-old made a bright start to life at St. James’ Park, scoring four goals in his opening five league outings.
Woltemade's form and playing time has dipped
However, his form has nosedived in the months since having netted just three goals in his last 18 top-flight outings.
Additionally, Woltemade has started Newcastle’s last four games on the bench, with Yoane Wissa and Anthony Gordon both preferred to the Germany international in recent weeks.
And Woltemade, who was linked with a move to Bayern before securing his move to St. James’ Park, has reportedly become disillusioned with life with the Premier League side.
Bayern may renew interest this summer
It remains to be seen whether Bayern will return for Woltemade in the summer in their bid to bolster their frontline.
Harry Kane is first choice frontman for Vincent Kompany’s side and the England captain, despite reports of a potential return to the Premier League, is looking to extend his stay in Germany.
Nicolas Jackson moved to Bayern on loan from Chelsea last year with an obligation to buy should he make a set number of appearances, however the Senegal star will now return to Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
Newcastle eased past Villa in the FA Cup
Woltemade started, and scored in, the 3-1 FA Cup win at Aston Villa last weekend as Newcastle set up a fifth round meeting with Manchester City.
And he’ll be hoping to keep his place in the side for tonight’s Champions League first leg playoff tie with Qarabag.
The Magpies then return to league duties with a trip to the Etihad Stadium, in what will be the third time they’ll face City this year having lost their EFL Cup semi-final showdown with the Cityzens.
