Manchester United have identified Everton star Iliman Ndiaye as a long-term replacement for Marcus Rashford, reports Caught Offside.

Rashford moved to Barcelona on loan over the summer and has impressed in his debut season in Spain.

The England star has scored four goals and laid on an additional six assists for the La Liga champions and the Blaugrana are expected to make Rashford’s move permanent at the end of the season.

United view Ndiaye as Rashford replacement

And United will use the funds raised from Rashford’s sale to make a move for Toffees winger Ndiaye.

The 25-year-old moved to Merseyside 18 months ago having joined from French side Marseille and has gone on to become a key man for Everton.

Ndiaye’s performances have caught the eye of United as the Manchester giants look to revamp their attack in the summer.

The Everton wideman, who was part of the Senegal side that won the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco last month, has scored four goals and provided two assists in the Premier League this season.

What’s more, Ndiaye ranks among the top 10 players for successful dribbles, which has served to boost his reputation.

Arsenal to rival Man Utd for Senegal star

United, though, aren’t the only side credited with an interest in Ndiaye, with Premier League rivals Arsenal also keeping tabs on the winger.

Left wing has been a problem position for the Gunners in recent years and the north London side may look to Ndiaye as the player to fill the role.

Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have both battled to play out wide for the Gunners this season, though neither have wholly convinced.

Everton, Man Utd and Arsenal all in action this week

Everton will be hoping Ndiaye can maintain his good form when they welcome Bournemouth to the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Tuesday night.

David Moyes’ side are unbeaten in five ahead of their game against the Cherries, and will leapfrog rivals Liverpool in the table with a win over the south coast side.

Additionally, United also play on Tuesday night as they make the trip to West Ham, while Arsenal travel to Brentford on Thursday.
