Man Utd Target Alphonso Davies Transfer as Bayern Munich Star’s Future Uncertain

Manchester United are weighing up a summer move for Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies as they look to strengthen at full-back, reports CFBayerninsider.
Davies has been restricted to just four league starts for Bayern this season having suffered a serious ACL injury last March.
The Canadian left-back has also fallen foul to a series of muscle injuries this year in his bid to return to full fitness.
Davies sidelined with a hamstring issue
Davies is currently absent owing to a hamstring injury suffered in Bayern’s 6-1 win over Atalanta earlier this month.
As a result, the defender missed out on a spot in Jesse Marsch’s Canada squad for the March international break.
The Canucks take on Iceland and Tunisia later this month as they gear up for the 2026 World Cup this summer.
United eyeing up Canada international
United are keen to bring in a left-back to provide competition for first choice star Luke Shaw, who has nailed down a starting spot at Old Trafford.
With Tyrell Malacia expected to leave the club permanently this summer and Patrick Dorgu viewed as a more attacking option, Davies would provide genuine cover for Shaw in defence.
The 25-year-old’s injury issues means Bayern’s stance on the former Vancouver Whitecaps star has softened in recent months.
This is a boost for United as they look to bolster at the back ahead of their expected return to the Champions League.
Michael Carrick's side going strong in Champions League pursuit
United were held to a 2-2 draw at Bournemouth last time out, but results elsewhere going their way means the Manchester giants are six points clear of fifth-placed Liverpool with seven games to play.
And Michael Carrick’s side are not in action again until mid-April, when they take on relegation-threatened Leeds at Old Trafford.
