A report in Spain has revealed that three huge names at Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, Bernardo Silva and Rodri, are all set to leave, but Erling Haaland 'will stay.'
City are in yet another title race but over the weekend slipped to give Arsenal hope of finally edging past them. The Gunners have, for the last three seasons, finished second in the league - twice to City.
But this season, it's the Citizens who are following the Gunners - trailing now by nine points after drawing to West Ham at the weekend, while Arsenal beat Everton late on.
The game in hand Guardiola's side have can only bring them within six points of Arsenal, and with just seven games to play beyond that, there's a big task in hand.
Whether or not City win the title this season, there could be a lot of movement. After Guardiola penned a new deal last season, there has remained speculation over his position.
He is not the only man who could leave, with Silva, Rodri and Haaland all frequently touted to leave of their own accord or be snapped up by a big club.
And reports in Spain suggest there are to be the likely departures of each of the first three men, with Silva set to leave at the end of his contract, Rodri having rejected all renewal offers - potentially opening him up to be sold - and Guardiola has 'very little chance of continuing.'
The decision to leave and either take a sabbatical or a national team job is said to be 'practically a done deal.'
It's said Hugo Viana will not stand in Guardiola's way, and as and when he does leave, former Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca is the man waiting to take his place, after previously learning from Guardiola as his City assistant.
It's said the club see him as the best candidate to fill the 'enormous void' that the elite boss will leave.
Three big departures may seem catastrophic for City, but there may be a silver lining in that star striker Haaland, amid frequent whispers that the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid would like to sign him, isn't going anywhere.
It's said he will postpone his possible departure until 2027, taking advantage of a release clause in his contract.
City atmosphere in crisis
But all may not be rosy at the club if three of their biggest names are no longer there. Guardiola has led them to 18 titles, of which Silva has been at the club for 17, having played 447 games there.
Rodri won the Ballon d'Or at City, becoming the very best and most important midfielder in the world, and while that status has dropped back after an ACL injury, he's still a solid member of the side.
The report states that the atmosphere at City is one of 'crisis,' and that's one of the things that has driven Guardiola to want to leave.
Indeed, their Champions League round of 16 first leg loss to Real Madrid is said to have created tension, and the fear of experiencing a second season in a row without a trophy is growing.
