Liverpool Lead £95m Anthony Gordon Transfer Race as Arsenal and Man City Circle Newcastle Star

Liverpool have emerged as the frontrunners in the race to sign Anthony Gordon from Newcastle, according to Caught Offside.
The Reds have previously been credited with an interest in the England international as they look to bring in a new left winger.
The defending Premier League champions sold Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich over the summer but failed to sufficiently replace the Colombian.
And they are now readying a £95m offer for Gordon as they seek to rectify their left wing issues.
Liverpool face competition for Gordon
However, Liverpool aren’t the only side to have been credited with an interest in the 24-year-old.
Premier League title chasing pair Arsenal and Manchester City are also weighing up a move for the Magpies star.
The Gunners are hoping to strengthen their left flank with both Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli flattering to deceive in the final third.
City, meanwhile, are eager to bolster down the left with Savinho struggling to provide sufficient cover and competition for Belgian wing-wizard Jeremy Doku.
Gordon recently signed a new deal
Gordon is enduring an indifferent Premier League season having scored just three goals and provided two assists for the Magpies.
Even so, Newcastle would demand just shy of £100m in order to cash in on Gordon, who put pen to paper on a new long-term deal with Eddie Howe’s side in October 2024.
Tonali also linked with summer switch
Gordon isn’t the only high-profile Newcastle star who has been linked with a move away from St. James’ Park at the end of the season, with midfielder Sandro Tonali also tipped with a summer exit.
Tonali emerged as a target for Arsenal on deadline day following injury to Mikel Merino, though Newcastle rebuffed any talk of a potential departure earlier this month.
The 25-year-old netted twice in Newcastle’s 3-1 FA Cup win over Aston Villa.
