Leon Goretzka Tipped for Arsenal Move Despite Interest from AC Milan, Juventus and Inter

Leon Goretzka is ready to snub offers from across the continent in order to secure a summer move to Arsenal, reports Sport Witness.
Goretzka will leave Bayern Munich when his contract expires at the end of the season.
“Leon feels very much at home in this club and this team,” Bayern sporting director Chrisoph Freund began back in January.
“Despite several quality inquiries, he has decided to stay here until the end of the season. After open and constructive talks, we have come to the conclusion together that he will seek out a new challenge in the summer.
“It’ll be eight years at Bayern – eight extremely successful years with a strong person and player. Leon will give his all up to the summer to win as many more titles with the team as possible.”
Midfielder rejected January exit
Goretzka was linked with a move away from the Bundesliga giants during the January transfer window but remained with Bayern as he wished to honour his deal with FC Hollywood.
Arsenal were among those linked with a move for Goretzka earlier this year, and the Gunners are expected to firm up their interest in the Germany international.
That’ll prove a blow for a number of European heavyweights, who were keen on landing the 31-year-old on a free.
Arsenal the frontrunners in Goretzka race
Italian giants AC Milan have been credited with an interest in Goretzka, while Serie A rivals Inter, Juventus and Napoli are also pushing to sign the midfielder.
Arsenal’s rivals Tottenham have also been linked with a move for Goretzka, though their dire league form and a lack of European competition next season effectively rules them out of the race for the former Schalke man.
And any interested sides are set to be disappointed with Arsenal said to be Goretzka’s preferred destination.
