Aston Villa Eye Morgan Gibbs-White Transfer as Nottingham Forest Star’s Future Uncertain

Aston Villa are weighing up an ambitious summer move for Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White, according to TEAMtalk.
Gibbs-White came close to a switch to Tottenham last year after Spurs triggered the midfielder’s release clause.
The offer prompted a furious response from Forest, who considered legal action against the north London side.
Gibbs-White linked with Forest exit
Ultimately, Gibbs-White penned a new contract with the Tricky Trees, but speculation surrounding his future remains rife.
Forest are enduring a difficult campaign and sit just two points above the relegation zone following Tuesday’s games.
The Midlands side can leapfrog Spurs into 16th with a win over table footers Wolves on Wednesday night.
Villa eyeing Tricky Trees star
However, with pressure mounting on Sean Dyche, Forest’s third manager of the season, Villa are reportedly keeping tabs on the 26-year-old.
The Villans pushed to bring in a new midfielder in the January window following injuries to Boubacar Kamara and Youri Tielemans.
Unai Emery’s side had looked set to sign Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid, the England international eventually moving to Spurs.
Villa then re-signed Douglas Luiz on loan until the end of the season after the Brazilian struggled for minutes during his loan spell with Forest.
Rogers' Villa future up in the air
The Midlands side are also sweating over Morgan Rogers’ future at Villa Park, with Gibbs-White identified as a potential replacement for the former Middlesbrough man.
Rogers put pen to paper on a new deal with Villa last year but he is subject to interest from a number of Premier League sides, including Spurs, Chelsea and Liverpool.
Villa take on Brighton on home turf on Wednesday night as they look to improve upon a run of one win from their last five.
