Arsenal are keeping tabs on Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams ahead of the summer transfer window.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is eager to strengthen his attacking department for next season, with the North London outfit heavily reliant on the fitness of both Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.

According to The Mirror, Williams is firmly on Arsenal's radar after showcasing his talent in a Bilbao shirt this term.

The 21-year-old, who already boasts 11 Spain caps, has scored three goals and registered six assists in LaLiga action, while also tallying five goal contributions in Los Leones' run to the Copa del Rey semis.

Williams signed a new contract with Bilbao until 2027 in December, meaning he will not come cheap if Arsenal are serious about their pursuit.

Real Madrid, Liverpool and Aston Villa have been linked with a move for the young flyer too.

Arsenal's desire to sign a new winger is reportedly one part of a planned summer shake-up which could see big-name departures in the form of Thomas Partey, Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah.

Brentford marksman Ivan Toney and Real Sociedad lynchpin Martin Zubimendi are being touted as other potential replacements.

According to ESPN, Saudi Pro League champions Al-Ittihad will launch another attempt to sign Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah in the summer after last year's failed pursuit.

Manchester United are monitoring Toney's situation at Brentford but value the striker at £70million and will not be drawn into a bidding war, report The Daily Star.

Real Madrid are tracking Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies, claim HITC, but may face competition from Manchester City and Liverpool.
