Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal face France in a mammoth Euro 2020 clash tonight

After a whirlwind fortnight of football, Euro 2020’s group stage concludes this evening.

As well as previewing today’s final four clashes across Group E and Group F, there’s the usual dose of transfer news and Euro nostalgia — plus our weekly boxing round-up returns.

Final groups set for frantic finale

The line-up for Euro 2020’s last-16 will be complete after today, with all eight of the sides in action still harbouring qualification hopes.

Group E gets things started at 5pm, with 2012 champions Spain in need of a result against Slovakia to ensure they don’t become the most high-profile side to exit before the knockouts.

In the other clash, surprise leaders Sweden can secure top spot against a Poland side who will be eliminated should they take anything less than three points.

Finally, the group of death — Group F — will play to its conclusion at 8pm, with already-qualified France able to put a severe dent into Portugal’s prospects with a win and top the group in the process.

Meanwhile, a win will do for Germany against bottom side Hungary in Munich. However, the minnows will be dreaming of a seismic shock themselves given victory would see them stun the world and progress.
