There are five FA Cup fourth-round ties to enjoy on Sunday, all featuring Premier League clubs taking on EFL opposition, and one of those sees top-flight Fulham visiting Stoke.

The teams may be glad to have a break from league competition as they have both been struggling of late.

Fulham were seventh in the Premier League before three successive defeats that have seen them fall to 12th place, while Stoke are 14th in the second tier after a six-match winless run.

These teams knocked out the top two sides in the Championship between them in the third round as Fulham beat Middlesbrough 3-1 at Craven Cottage, while Stoke won 1-0 at home to Coventry.

Team news

Stoke defender Bosun Lawal could miss the next six weeks with a hamstring injury. Ben Gibson missed the midweek game at Charlton due to illness and manager Mark Robins may have to make some late selection decisions with sickness affecting other members of the squad too.

Tom Cairney (calf) and Sasa Lukic (hamstring) missed Fulham's game against Manchester City due to injury. Kenny Tete and Calvin Bassey replaced Timothy Castagne and Jorge Cuenca in the line-up for that match. Benjamin Lecomte could replace Bernd Leno in goal after starting in the Cottagers' third-round tie.

Prediction

Fulham have lost their last three games in the Premier League, but they should have the upper hand when they travel to Stoke in the FA Cup on Sunday.

The Cottagers were edged out 3-2 by in-form Manchester United at Old Trafford before a 2-1 home defeat by Everton and a 3-0 loss to Manchester City at the Etihad on Wednesday, but a trip to an out-of-sorts Stoke side could be just what they need to get back to winning ways.

The Potters have drawn three and lost three of their last six Championship matches, losing to Middlesbrough and Southampton in their last two home games.

Their trip to Charlton on Wednesday looked a decent opportunity for them to get out of their slump, but they lost 1-0 to a late goal and also picked up a fresh injury blow as Lawal went off with a hamstring injury.

On top of that, there has been sickness in the Stoke camp this week and any lack of energy on their part should be punished by the Premier League team.

Fulham dispatched Championship leaders Middlesbrough in the third round and with Stoke's goalless run now extending to three games, the Cottagers are worth backing to win to nil.
